'GRATE' TO SEE REPAIRS ON BOTH A-ROADS IN BRIGG

Clanking grates are in need of repair on both main roads in Brigg and fixes would be welcome on the A1084 and the A18.
With the passage of time some metal manhole covers on well-used routes generate noise every time a vehicle's wheels make contact - something passing pedestrians and people living nearby will know all about.
Currently there's one in need of attention on Bigby Road, the A1084, between the Albert Street junction and the level crossing.
The fact it has been marked with red paint may suggest that someone in authority has flagged up the issue.
There's another clanking grate on the A18 along Bridge Street, close to the turn in the road which leads to Ancholme Way.
Due to their locations, roadworks to attend to these covers will require temporary lane closures and mean some delays for motorists as a result.
Another noisy cover was fixed some months ago on Wrawby Street near the frontage of Wetherspoon's White Horse, but this did not affect an A-road, just part of the one-way system between Cross Street and Queen Street.
