Having spent many, many happy hours since the early 1980s at the Black Bull pub on Wrawby Street, Brigg Blog is pleased to see this historic hostelry has reopened after being closed for some time while undergoing refurbishment.
It has a new look inside and is under new ownership.
We passed by around 6pm on Friday evening and popped in for a brief look.
Saturday morning saw us return to introduce ourselves to the landlady, pictured above and below, who was happy to chat, show us round and give details of what's new.
The drinks are cheap by today's standards.
Prize quiz nights have been launched every Tuesday, bringing back memories of regular quizzes held long ago at this venue.
There's also a dart board - another link with how things once were at the Bull.
Music Through The Ages every Saturday will also create interest among local pub-goers.
About 8.15pm we popped in for a pint and sat in the pleasant beer garden at the back with a £2.20p pint of Timothy Taylor's Landlord real ale and watched some sport on the big screen.
The weather was so mild it was like an evening in early June!
Young folk have clearly taken to the new upstairs games room, with a pool match under way when we looked in.
