BIG ISSUE IN BRIGG?

A big issue or not a big issue? That was the question for members of Brigg Town Council to consider at their latest meeting in the Angel Suite.
Town Clerk Dinah Lilley told councillors that a member of the public had been in touch with concerns about litter near the road adjacent to Tesco between the Cary Lane turning circle and the B & M store.
Coun Rob Waltham, who is the leader of North Lincolnshire Council, the local highway authority, said the lion's share of the land in this area was in private ownership.
Not many complaints had been received about litter but there were some relating to parking on this stretch of road.
He said North Lincolnshire Council would look at the issue.
Coun Chris Dyson said parking of large vehicles was definitely an issue, pointing out that they blocked the view for pedestrians or those on mobility scooters who were looking to cross the road.
