We nipped into Jones' Barbers, in Bigby Street, Brigg, today for a trim and after leaving the salon thought a quick walk around the town centre was in order.
A look at the Millennium Green, off Elwes Street revealed that it, too, has enjoyed a good cut - further to recent Brigg Blog posts about the grass getting very long in July when we could really do with the Green looking its very best.
People were using the seats and enjoying the sun, which was good to see.
It was busy in Brigg town centre early this afternoon, with many spaces taken up in the Old Courts Road car park by shoppers.
It's heartening to be able to report that fact on a Wednesday afternoon in Brigg. Anyone else remember when most retailers observed half-day closing?

To be honest, Nige....perhaps half-day closing is a moribund retail practice.....but Brigg is dead by 3.30 on most days......
New arrivals tend to stay open until 5 and beyond, but many of the establishes shops have gone into siesta mode by mid afternoon.
Some say that there' s little trade after a certain time in the afternoon.
Meanwhile, places like Wetherspoons allegedly attract crowds throughout the day......has anyone thought of a method of utilising the Wetherspoon's effect to divert the crowd towards the town centre?
For example, if ladies knew that Brigg's fashion shops had a regular late night opening, perhaps they would make a bee-line towards such shops en-route the White Horse......but folks realise Brigg is closed at 5.......
