Hibaldstow played in the last Lincolnshire County Cricket League Division Two fixture of the 2022 season yesterday (Saturday, September 17).
In autumnal weather the villagers visited the renowned Chichester Road Ground in Cleethorpes - not far from the seafront - to meet the host club's already relegated 3rd XI.
Hibaldstow only needed to field a team and thereby avoid a points deduction and a walkover win for Cleethorpes to finish above the Meggies and did better than that by claiming three bowling points as the home side posted 211 for eight in their 45 overs.
The second half of the match saw Hibaldstow dismissed for 74 but they finish the season six points clear of Cleethorpes 3rds with Holton-le-Clay 2nds at the foot of the table.s
Former Brigg Town players Tom Brock and Andy Sharp played in a 'Champions of Champions) play off final yesterday.
Tom was in the Barton Town 2nds side which lost by five wickets to Andy's Brocklesby Park.
Park were champions of Division Three East, while Barton topped Division Three West, whose members included Brigg Town and Broughton 2nds.
Yesterday's match was kindly hosted at Hirst Priory, near Crowle, by the Outcasts club. Scores: Barton 69, Brocklesby 72 for five.
