Brigg Town Football Club's first teamers remain in second place in ToolStation Northern Counties East Division One, despite losing on Tuesday night (November 30). But it will soon be party time for this community interest club.
The Zebras were down 3-2 when visiting mid-table Yorkshire side Worsborough Bridge Athletic. Brigg's goals were netted by Josh Batty - one in each half.
This result leaves Town six points behind leaders North Ferriby - both teams having played 19 league fixtures. The midpoint of the season will be reached in a couple of weeks.
Off the field, Brigg Town FC officials have now announced details of the annual children's Christmas party.
It will be held in the Hawthorns clubhouse on Friday, December 17, from 5pm.
Santa is due to put in an appearance, and entertainment and food will be on offer.
Tickets cost £5; inquire at the bar. There will be a gift for every child attending the party.
