Brigg people who are now on the hunt for Christmas presents to buy friends and family have a couple of opportunities coming up this week.
The latest Totally Locally Love Brigg Indie Market will take place in the town centre on Saturday (November 20) from early morning into the afternoon with stalls offering a range of goods.
The Trustees of the Lincolnshire and Humberside WI (Women's Institute) will be holding a Christmas Fayre at Scawby Village Hall on Saturday (10am until 3pm).
"Please join us," the organisers say. "There are lots of stalls including various crafts, cards, gifts for Christmas and more.
"There will also be an excellent raffle with lots of prizes; not forgetting the WI cake stall." Refreshments will also be available.
The monthly Brigg Farmers' Market will follow on Saturday, November 27 - again offering some items that would make suitable Christmas gifts, including locally made bottled beer, jars of jam and foodstuffs (subject to 'use before' dates).
Ahead of that (on Thursday, November 25) will be the town centre's Christmas lights switch-on, with festive market stalls and late night opening by many Brigg shops.
It's clear that some people are still expecting this event to take place as it usually does on the last Friday in November. But this things will be different. Please help to spread the word; this major event in the Market Place will be on THURSDAY, November 25.
