Congratulations to a Brigg craftsman whose new base has won a coveted annual award.
Guy Whitney, the designer goldsmith, relocated to refurbished premises at 32 Market Place within the town centre.
He is to receive the Brigg Town Council Civic Award "in recognition of a feature or location in Brigg which is best considered to have improved the appearance of the town during the previous year."
At the council's latest meeting, held on Monday, January 27, it was decided the 2019 award should be presented to Guy "following the refurbishment of the property which has greatly enhanced the Market Place and Brigg Town Centre."
Councillors agreed "that the premises were a great enhancement to the area."
The presentation will take place during the Town Mayor’s Civic Charity Banquet, to be held on Saturday, March 7.
