BRIGG PEOPLE TO VOTE IN 2019 EUROPEAN ELECTION LATER IN MAY
On the day when Brigg people cast their votes in the 2019 elections for North Lincolnshire Council and Brigg Town Council (May 2), polling cards were delivered to households for another contest coming up later this month.
There will be an election held on Thursday, May 23 for the Yorkshire and Humber Region of the European Parliament, which includes us.
Six MEPs will be returned to represent the region, this election employing the proportional representation system rather than first past the post.

Polling stations in Brigg and elsewhere will be open between 7am and 10pm.
Ballot papers issued on the day will outline the voting system.
Whatever your political views, if you hold any, it will be interesting to see the local and regional turnout for this election.
In the North Lincolnshire Council election on Thursday, May 2 the overall turnout was 31.7% per cent.
