BRIGG TOWN WIN IN SENSATIONAL FASHION


Brigg Town Cricket Club turned in a sensational bowling performance yesterday in Lincolnshire County Cricket League division four (sponsored by Readers).
In a home game at Brocklesby Park, Brigg bowled out visiting Scunthorpe Town 3rds for just FOURTEEN runs.
Tom Brock (pictured) grabbed seven wickets for six runs, Nick Beacock two for one and Phil Dewfall one for four.
Brigg took just 14 overs to bowl out the visitors and then needed only 12 balls to secure victory without losing a wicket, opener Nigel Beacock making 12 not out.
Brigg took all 20 points on offer from this game against foot-of-the-table opponents and remain on track for promotion.
This coming Saturday (July 9) Brigg visit the Immingham Blossom Way ground to meet Cleethorpes 4ths (1.30pm start).
