BROADBAND TEAM TO VISIT BRIGG

The Northern Lincs Broadband (NLBB) team will be visiting a number of communities over the next couple of months that are set to receive superfast broadband to let people know about the many benefits of high-speed broadband.
The roadshow will be visiting villages and towns across Northern Lincolnshire in April and May where 4,000 more properties will be getting access to superfast broadband as part of the second phase of the NLBB project.
This has been made possible because of savings achieved from the first phase of the project and new investments – a total of over £5m.
Phase two will start in April 2016 to provide 99 per cent of properties across Northern Lincolnshire with high-speed broadband by March 2017 – exceeding the national target of 95 per cent.
At the roadshow you will be able to find out information on the broadband upgrade and what difference it will make for you.
The roadshow dates are:

• 4 April from 1pm to 3pm at Winterton Rangers car park and from 4.30pm to 6pm at Whitton Village Hall car park
• 8 April from 10am to 12pm at Appleby Village Hall and 1pm to 3pm at Roxby Methodist Church car park
• 16 April from 10am to 12pm at Ealand Victory Hall car park and 1pm to 3pm at Eastoft High Street
• 22 April from 9am to 11am at Bay Horse pub car park, Shore Road, Garthorpe, from 11.30am to 1.30pm at Crowle Community Hall and 2pm to 4pm at Keadby in the lay by opposite New Generation ground. As well as 11am to 1.30pm in Brigg at the Bandstand.
• 3 May from 5pm to 7pm at Wrawby Village Hall
• 6 May from 10am to 12pm at Haxey Playing Field car park and from 1pm to 3pm at Westwoodside Village Hall car park

There will also be information and advice from other council services at the roadshow including Adult Community Learning, regeneration, adoption and fostering, public health, leisure services, and SSE and LEADER funding programmes.

​“Gone are the days of dial-up internet - superfast broadband is the way forward. It provides unlimited benefits for both homes and businesses. We have received some really positive feedback from residents and businesses saying they have seen major differences in their internet speeds when doing a range of things, from watching catch-up TV on their tablets to downloading business files. 
​“The first phase of the project was a huge success. It was in the top six nationally for completing the rollout the quickest. I’m positive we will add to this success with the second phase. Reaching 99 per cent of properties will be a fantastic achievement.”
