The White Horse pub in Brigg is ideally situated, having what amounts to its own bus stop.
How many hostelries can say that?
The stop, with extensive covered shelter (pictured), is on the A18 but only a few yards from the entrance to JD Wetherspoon’s popular licensed premises.
Feeling thirsty? Fancying a pint? Leave the car at home and get a bus into Brigg, folks!
Our picture also shows one of the new signs from the Friends of the Brigg & Lincoln Lines campaigning group, pointing bus passengers towards Brigg railway station, via Queen Street and Station Road.
There’s been much talk recently of people from North Nottinghamshire using the Saturday-only passenger train service to visit Brigg.
Whether people come to town by car, bus or train matters not; local businesses are just pleased to see them. And that goes for cyclists and pedestrians, too!
