There was a sizeable crowd at Brigg Town Football Club's Hawthorns ground yesterday to watch a charity football match in memory of Sir John Nelthorpe teacher Adrian Gibbons, a former pupil of Brigg Grammar School.
The action on the field was end-to-end and people were giving generously, with plenty of prizes on offer in the grand raffle. The Hawthorns bar was also doing a good trade.
Sadly, work commitments meant that Brigg Blog couldn't be there for the entire game.
