WAS THIS A SUITABLE TIME TO RESURFACE BRIGG FOOTPATHS?

Resurfacing of paths in Brigg town centre  on the morning of Remembrance Sunday was carried out just prior to the parade to the Monument war memorial, Brigg Town Council's latest meeting heard. And some people in the area where this was carried out were unaware contractors were going to be working.
Deputy Town Mayor Coun James Truepenny said unhappy people had raised the matter with him.
Brigg Blog noted this issue on Remembrance Sunday morning. You may recalled our photo of the wet tar warning sign that had been placed near the E-cig shop & vaping cafe on the corner of Wrawby Street and Queen Street.
We remembered not to walk on the resurfaced paths until the covering dried, but we fear other pedestrians later that morning might not have done so, resulting in sticky tar on their shoes.
Everyone appreciates that this work was necessary, that Sunday is the quietest day for "foot traffic" and  that whenever it's done someone will be unhappy with the timing. However, just a few hours before the Remembrance Parade seems an unfortunate choice.
