Next Tuesday (December 3) Brigg people can enjoy a
free night out courtesy of the town's Amateur Social Historians group, BASH.
You will be made welcome at Brigg Servicemen's Club for the
monthly meeting - the subject of which is A Jersey Lilley - The Life and Times
of Lily Langtry.
An illustrated talk will be given by BASH chairman Josie
Webb, starting at 8pm.
Lillie was a very successful actress, renowed beauty and
socialite of the late 19th century.
Lily is described by BASH as a unique woman who was years ahead
of her time.
As ever at BASH nights, light refreshments will be
provided. For those needing directions, the venue for the talk adjoins the town's
main Old Courts Road car park, where you can enjoy free parking.
A raffle will be held to help defray costs.
