The Brigg Amateur Social Historians group holds its latest meeting tonight (Tuesday, December 3) with a well-known local speaker.
Josie Webb's subject will be The History of The Women's Land Army.
Josie will outline the important role played by women in agriculture during the two world wars, drawing on her late mum's memories and photographs. Mum served in the Land Army during the Second World War.
Admission is free to enjoy tonight's illustrated talk at Brigg & District Servicemen's Club, Coney Court, starting at 8pm. Light refreshments will be served and a raffle held.
The club - pictured above - is very close to the town's main car park - free to use in the evenings.
