Two locally unique features are on offer at a pub within easy driving distance of Brigg.
The first is pictured above - a 'Doggy Ale' drinks dispenser adjoining the beer garden and play area at the Cross Keys in Grasby.
You sometimes see bar staff in other local pubs filling bowls of water for visiting pooches taken along by customers, but we've never seen a beer cask employed in this way before.
We like the inclusion of the alcoholic strength - 0 per cent - to comply with the licensing laws!
The Cross Keys also provides binoculars so customers can get an even better look at lovely Lincolnshire scenery nearby.
This unique facility for a local hostelry is free - there's no need to put coins in the slot like you have to in those that are popular along seafronts at UK resorts.
The binoculars are provided within the dining room at the pub and restaurant on Brigg Road.
They allow customers to gaze through the glazing at the Lincolnshire Wolds and even view distant Lincoln Cathedral on the horizon - the county's most famous landmark.
Unaided by binoculars, you can also sit on the terrace at the rear of the hostelry and take in the scenery across the extensive and sloping beer garden.
This quaint country pub is alongside the A1084 main road between Brigg and Caistor.
It offers an extensive menu and good range of drinks for customers as well as catering for their canines!
Well worth a visit, especially now summer is approaching.
It has two car parks - one at the side of the premises and the other - described as 'overflow' - at lower level.
