Amanda Gould, proprietor of Curiositeas Tea Shop in Wrawby Street, would like to announce the recent marriage of Alice Shuttlebottom, spinster of Brigg, to Mario Capulet of Naples, Italy.
Folks may recognise Alice as the long-standing meeter/greeter and entrance guardian of the town's themed tea-rooms.
After a short whirlwind romance over an egg and cress sandwich and a pot of earl grey, Mario proposed and the couple were married at a civic ceremony, which was later blessed by the Rev T. Cake.
'It was de besta day of my lifey', said Mario, 'a greata 'casion, but de Sun was so hot we botha felta that we could hava melted.....excuse me, while I kiss de wifey!
Maid of Honour and the caterer for the wedding breakfast was Amanda Gould, while Mario's brother, Romeo, flew over from Italy to be best man.....'no mean feat', exclaimed Alice, ' considering his mobility problems.'
Mario has been employed as a pastry chef in some of London's famous hotels after arriving in England three-and-a-half weeks ago.
The couple now plan a honeymoon in Blackpool following to trip to Stockton-on-Tees to see Alice's Aunty Mabel.
Mario and Alice indicated that they haven't planned a big family, but would like to hear the patter of tiny feet to complete their family.
Good luck.
