BRIGG PLAYS ITS PART IN WORLD-WIDE HEALTH CAMPAIGN

More purple crocus flowers are appearing at various sites in Brigg - almost by the day.
We photographed these near East Park's Tintab shelter, close to the Monument war memorial and the A18.
The notice says "Lets grow together to end polio now" and explains that these crocuses were planted by the local Rotary Club in collaboration with Brigg Town Council "to protect children and rid the world of polio."
This is part of the global Purple4Polio campaign.
Thousands of other crocuses were planted last autumn at various other sites in Brigg and are now starting to flower.
