BRIGG RECREATION GROUND REFURB COMPLETION DATE REVEALED

Work has been going on for months to refurbish Brigg Recreation Ground, off Wrawby Road, providing an all-weather floodlit sports pitch, tennis courts and adding a new changing room block.
Sportsmen and women have been eagerly awaiting a completion date for the work being carried out for North Lincolnshire Council. And now we have it...
Councillor Rob Waltham, from Brigg, deputy leader of North Lincolnshire Council, told his fellow members of Brigg Town Council that  the contractor is to "hand over the site" in mid-December.
As this date is near Christmas and the New Year it looks like being January before we will see the official opening and the first games played at the 21st century facility - something in which town teams will be able to take great pride when hosting home games.
Coun Waltham has also revealed that paths on the town's Newlands housing estate are to be improved in the next few weeks.
