Brigg Town Council's Planning & Environment Committee met last night in the Angel Suite and raised no objections to an application to open a fishing shop at Smithy's Pond, Island Carr, off Bridge Street.
There was little discussion but it was pointed out that Brigg is currently without an angling shop.
The second and final stage in the planning process will see North Lincolnshire Council deciding whether to grant permission.
