PROPOSED CHANGES TO WELL-KNOWN BRIGG BUILDINGS

Planning applications relating to three well-known buildings in Brigg will come up for discussion by councillors next week.
The Brigg Town Council Planning and Environment Committee must be consulted on any proposed changes to buildings and structures in the town. It has the right to pass on any comments it may have to North Lincolnshire planners, who have the final say when it comes to granting, or refusing, permission.
Applications on Brigg town councillors' agenda for Wednesday, November 14 at the Angel Suite include:

• Prior approval of the proposed demolition of the Ancholme Inn, Grammar School Road.
• Internal alterations to form a first floor restaurant, including the bricking up and relocation of an existing doorway to the rear and the insertion of a new window in the end gable, Scalinis Fish and Chip Shop, 79 Wrawby Street.
• Listed building consent for provision of a platform lift and alterations and improvements, Brigg Tourist Information Centre, The Buttercross, Market Place.

Also on the agenda is an application for permission to erect a single storey rear extension at 10 Northern Avenue.
Next Wednesday's meeting starts at 8pm in the Angel Suite, off the Market Place, and is open to the public.
If you are going along, please note entry to the Angel for this meeting will be via the conservatory-like Rotunda at the rear of the premises, near the car park.

At 7pm next Wednesday there is a meeting of the Brigg Town Council Policy Committee, which is also open to interested locals.

Councillors will be discussing various items, including the possible repair, or replacement, of the Brigg Holocaust Memorial in the Angel Courtyard.
