Many Brigg households have just received a leaflet explaining that a number of small electrical devices can be recycled, rather than being thrown into the general waste bin (pictured).
In our case you can drop them off when you visit the Household Recycling Centre between Broughton and Wressle. It's open all days this time of year except Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Recyclable items include phones (and mobiles), remote controls, chargers, radios, digi-boxes, speakers, hi-fi units, electronic toys, hairdryers, electric toothbrushes, shavers, hair curlers, kettles, toasters, irons, drills and power tools, strimmers, chainsaws and even lawnmowers.
For further information call 01724 297000 or visit NORTH LINCS
Let's support the recycling initiative!

.....and in my impoverished state, my electrical recycables include an old light bulb, a 13 amp fuse and an unwanted cigarette lighter from my old car!!!
Nige - the nearest Household Recycling Centre really depends on where you live about Brigg.
Those in the west part of Brigg & Scawby Brook - then the Brigg Rd, Broughton site is closer.
The Melton Ross site is about just as close for folks living in & around Wrawby Road.
If you went to Melton Ross, Nige, you could also speak to the railway spotters who usually assemble about the nearby rail bridge. Home from home, as they say!!
I got my leaflets delivered on Monday......have just gone to my garage to get an electric drill and another batch of leaflets had been pushed under the door.
Perhaps they're for my illegal immigrants sleeping rough on my work bench!!
