BRIGG BLOG NIL, SQUIRREL KNILL (SORRY, NIL)

Brigg Blog this morning had a close encounter with a grey squirrel.
Fortunately, we did not suffer the much-publicised mishap that befell Scunthorpe United manager Alan Knill and a pesky critter that crossed his path while the Iron boss was out cycling a few weeks ago.
The squirrel on the path in St Helen's Road, Brigg, raced me and my old Peugeot for about 40 yards before losing interest and speeding off into a driveway.
It was neck and tyre all the way and ended in a dead heat.
Fortunately, it did not end with a dead squirrel.
