Barnetby's Sporting Shield semi-final heartbreak continued as Crosby hit back from 3-0 down at the break to smash home five second-half goals in a thrilling cup-tie at the Co-op Ground, Scunthorpe.
Barnetby dominated the first half as Brendan O’Callaghan notched his 11th of the season - after three minutes.
Will Forrest added a second shortly afterwards with a sweet right-foot shot, and when Will Watson fired home from the edge of the area on the quarter-hour mark there looked to be only one result.
Barnetby, though, couldn’t add to their tally and with Crosby coming down the hill in the second half this proved costly, as their triple half-time substitution proved inspired.
Colts dominated the second half just as Barnetby had the first, culminating in two goals for Nathan Smith and one each for Daniel Jarvis, Cameron Dunn and Luke Bankhead.
Barnetby had rare chances but couldn’t stop Crosby who ran in four goals in the last 20 minutes to seal their place in the final in April.
In the other semi, Scotter United were beaten 2-0 by College Wanderers.
