IMPORTANT CHANGES TO BIN COLLECTIONS IN BRIGG OVER CHRISTMAS 2018 AND THE NEW YEAR


Households in Brigg which get Tuesday bin collections from North Lincolnshire Council should note important changes coming up for Christmas 2018 and the New Year.
The alterations result from Christmas Day (December 25) and New Year's Day (January 1) both falling on a Tuesday when the refuse collection teams will not be out and about.
NORMAL: Tuesday, December 18 - green/black wheelie bins will be emptied, together with blue boxes filled with newspapers, green boxes of cans and glass jars and bags of textiles.
CHANGE: Monday, December 24 - burgundy plastic and cardboard bins will be emptied.
CHANGE: Tuesday, December 25 - no collections.
CHANGE: Monday, December 31 - green/black wheelie bins will be emptied in Brigg, together with blue boxes filled with newspapers, green boxes of cans and glass jars and bags of textiles.
CHANGE: Tuesday, January 1, 2019 - no collections.
NORMAL: Tuesday, January 8 - burgundy plastic and cardboard bins will be emptied.
Householders should also note that there will be NO collection of brown garden waste bins for five weeks either side of Christmas and New Year.
Tuesday, December 11 will see these bins emptied, but the next collection will not take place in Brigg until Tuesday, January 22.
