Brigg Town Football Club enjoyed a super 6-2 win at Lincoln Moorlands Railway in round three of the Lincolnshire Junior Cup yesterday (Saturday, December 8, 2018).
Moorlands led 2-1 at half-time but the Zebras went on a goal spree in the second half.
Reece Moody finished with a hat-trick, while Tom Pearson, Charlie Dolling and Jack Tierney also found the net.
Brigg Town will now entertain Scunthorpe side Appleby-Frodingham at The Hawthorns on Saturday, January 5 in the quarter-finals.
In the EC Surfacing Ltd Scunthorpe & District Football League yesterday, Barnetby United lost 4-1 at home to College Wanderers in the semi-finals of the T.S.W. Printers Sporting Shield Semi-Finals.
Briggensians went down 7-2 in a division one game at Scotter United, with Ben Lingard scoring twice for the Brigg side.
In division two, Hibaldstow Wanderers lost 9-0 at home to Epworth Town Colts Blues.

United stumble at the semi-finals again

For the 4th time in 5 seasons Barnetby exited the Sporting Shield at the semi-final stage.
Things could  have been quite different as it was them that started the brighter and deservedly took the lead when a flowing move down the right was centred to Steve Glentworth who finished neatly.
As has happened all too many times this season, from a position of promise they were 2-1 down in no time.
Barnetby pushed hard all through the second half but failed to break a solid College back line, and as things got desperate College hit them twice to wrap up a 4-1 win.
College will face The Butchers Arms in the final. They overcame Crosby Colts 5-0 in the other semi-final.
