BRIGG & DISTRICT WEEKEND EVENTS AHEAD


The weekend will get off to an early start in Brigg today (Friday, September 9).
Skaburst UK will be performing at the Woolpack, Market Place, from 9pm (admission free).
Making a welcome return to Brigg, Skaburst offers hits made famous by Madness, The Specials, Bad Manners (and others).
There's also a ticket-only concert by guitarist Claude Bourbon at the Buttercross tomorrow evening. He has played at the famous Glastonbury Festival. Contact Brigg Heritage Centre - email briggheritage.centre@northlincs.gov.uk
There will be a Love Brigg Arts, Craft & Antiques Market stalls trading in the town centre on Saturday (September 10) from 8.30am, operating alongside the Traditional Market offering fruit & veg, flowers and fish.
Saturday shoppers might like to visit a free exhibition in the Angel building's Brigg Heritage Centre about the history of Brigg Sugar Factory. It will be open from 10am to 2pm. View full details here...
Vocalist Tom Holt will be performing at the Woolpack on Saturday from 9pm.
There will be bingo at Brigg & District Servicemen's Club, Coney Court, from 8.30pm (with free entry) and a disco & karaoke at the Dying Gladiator, Bigby Street.
Singer/guitarist Daniel Senior will be centre stage at the Wheatsheaf in Hibaldstow tomorrow night (admission free).
Wrawby Mill will be hosting an open day on Sunday (September 11) from 11am to 5pm. This historic local landmark is close to the A18.
