The well-known Rabbit Hole bookshop in Brigg Market Place will be hosting events in connection with World Book Day which is coming up on Thursday (March 5).
The shop tells us: "We have the books themselves and are running the World Book Day Share a Story initiative.
"World Book Day itself is this week but we have events with schools and other groups running from Feb 27th throughout March.
"We are also a part of The Kids Book Fest next weekend as part of all the events that go on around World Book Day.
"The Fest is being hosted by The Pink Pig Farm next Saturday and Sunday with over 10 authors and story-tellers as well as illustrators and activities all day.
"We have arranged for four different authors and illustrators to take part who are all fantastic. Daisa Publishing is bringing a number of authors and illustrators and many others are coming to take part in Share a Story.
"Authors include Richard O Neill, Savior Pirotta, Katie Brosnan, Anna Terreros-Martin, Rebecca Denison and Kayleigh Keam, from CBeebies, is there as well.
"This week we are also hosting a Book Launch for Nell Pattison. Nell is based in Scunthorpe and is published through Avon and Imprint of Harper Collins. The book is called The Silent House. It will be published on Thursday and she has organised the launch with The Rabbit Hole. So Brigg is hosting a national book launch.
The launch is an invited launch but Nell will be back with us on the evening of Thursday 12th March with another new author Philippa East who has another Harper Collins book out ...Little White Lies.
"On top of all of that we are promoting Brigg at an event as part of Anton Du Bec's tour on 13th March in Hull."
The Rabbit Hole is situated near the Buttercross, close to the Lord Nelson Hotel.
If you are going to the Pink Pig to see Kayleigh Keam (and others) during the Fest, the visitor attraction is located at Holme Hall, Holme, near Bottesford, DN16 3RE. She is the Writer/Director of the CBeebies Bed Time Story.
When the 'world' day arrives, also remember that Brigg also has a well-regarded Oxfam Book Shop, on Wrawby Street, which has a good selection and is well worth a visit to stock up on reading material. And/or call in at Brigg Library on the ground floor of the Angel building.
