PLAN FOR NEW ALLOTMENTS BACKED BY BRIGG TOWN COUNCIL
A new allotments site proposed in Brigg is being supported by the Town Council.
North Lincolnshire Council is seeking permission to change the use of land to allotments, including the erection of fencing and timber sheds, at Woodbine Park, near South View Avenue.
These are designed to replace existing plots off Grammar School Road, where land is set to be redeveloped.
Brigg Town Council's Planning & Environment Committee, meeting in the Angel Suite, decided it was "in support" of this application.
Following a period public consultation, North Lincolnshire Council planners will decide whether to approve the change of use at Woodbine Park, close to the Preston Drive entrance.
Brigg Town Council is also supporting the following applications, which now progress to North Lincolnshire planners for final decisions:
Erect single-storey rear extension at 26 Kings Avenue.
Crown lift and crown reduce an ash tree identified as T1 in, and subject to, Tree Preservation (Barnard Avenue, Brigg) Order 2001 on land adjacent car park at Police Station, Barnard Avenue.
Notice of intention to fell a leyland cypress tree within the Brigg conservation area at Demeter House, Bigby Street.
Listed building consent to replace shop front & entrance to flats, Riverside Mews Residential Home, 34 Market Place.
Change of use to an MOT testing station at 16 Island Carr Road, Island Carr Industrial Estate, off Bridge Street.
Erect single-storey rear extension, first-floor rear extension, detached garage/workshop extension, new detached garage, and create new vehicular access at 63 Bigby High Road.
