HIGH-PROFILE BRIGG SITE PLACED ON THE PROPERTY MARKET
A high profile site in Brigg with outline planning permission for residential development has been placed on the property market.
North Lincolnshire Council owns the land, which is beside the town's railway station.
Permission has been granted for apartments to be built there.
Barnsdales, through whom the land is being marketed, says there is a "Joint Venture or Freehold Sale Possibility."
The site comprises 0.83 acres with outline approval for residential accommodation.
There is a right of way granted over the site, which provides access to Brigg railway station.
The agent says: "The site is offered by either JV (joint venture) with an Over 55s developer or by way of freehold sale."
The asking price has not been made public.
The site is close to the metal building used by Stennett's Market, while August's annual Brigg Horse Fair utilises land adjoining the railway station.
Interested buyers can contact Barnsdales - chartered surveyors and property consultants - by calling 01302 308 176 or by emailing Emily@barnsdales.co.uk
In September 2017, North Lincolnshire Council granted outline planning permission for 40 residential apartments. But this has not been followed up by a more detailed application. View further details here...
A statement submitted in support of the council's application for outline permission suggested "the proposed development will vastly improve the character and appearance of the area and any minor negative impacts upon the character and appearance of the area will be mitigated by good design and planting of greenery within the site."
