BRIGG TOWN FOOTBALLERS SECOND IN TABLE FOLLOWING FINE WIN

The Hawthorns ground - home to Brigg Town Football Club which was founded in the 1860s

Brigg Town Football Club secured one of the most important wins of the season yesterday (Saturday, March 9).
The Zebras managed a 4-2 victory over fellow title-chasers Gainsborough Trinity Reserves at The Hawthorns.
Brigg are now second in the Balcan Lighting Supplies Lincolnshire League Premier - behind Lincoln Moorlands Railway who won their local derby with Ruston Sports 7-1.
However, Brigg have played one game more than Moorlands, who have a far superior goal difference. And it's goal difference that sees Brigg in second spot, as they and Gainsborough both have 37 points.
The final weeks of the season are going to prove very interesting indeed!
