BRIGG FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT IN MEMORY OF KARL 'KIPPER' TAYLOR
A football tournament in memory of Karl 'Kipper' Taylor will be held at Brigg Recreation Ground on Sunday, October 21, from 10am to noon (approximately), followed by refreshments at nearby Brigg Town Football Club's Hawthorns clubhouse.
Games will be played on the 'Blue Astro' synthetic surface, with a handsome trophy going to the winning team
Ten five-a-side teams are expected to take part, and there will be a raffle.
Money raised will be donated to Karl's favoured charity.
A popular teaching assistant and a former pupil of Sir John Nelthorpe School, Brigg, he died earlier this year while abroad.
Local sportsman Tom Brock has asked us to preview this event on Brigg Blog. He says: "With everything sorted all ready for next Sunday, I'm now asking for any raffle prizes to help raise as much money for charity as we can if you would like to donate, please get in touch on Facebook."
