BLOOMING WELCOME GRANTS FOR BRIGG AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES


Thousands of pounds in grants have been approved by North Lincolnshire Council to benefit Brigg, Broughton, Scawby, Barnetby, Hibaldstow, Elsham, Wrawby and Kirmington & Croxton.
The public money has been made available from the unitary authority's Community Grant Fund.
Brigg Town Council gets £3,000 to purchase bedding plants for planters around the town.
For the same 'in bloom' purpose the following grants were agreed to parish and town councils in our area:

  • Scawby £1,250
  • Barnetby £1,000
  • Wrawby £694
  • Hibaldstow £500
  • Kirmington & Croxton £500
  • Broughton £403.59
  • Elsham £300
North Lincolnshire Council has also granted £25,000 to St Helena’s Church, Kirmington, pictured below, to help with the provision of toilet and kitchen facilities.
Barnetby Community Club received £1,340 to help with the cost of providing a Christmas party for village residents.
