FUNDAMENTALS FOR THE UNDER-FIVES COMES TO BRIGG

FROM KIRSTY WESTFIELD, NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE COUNCIL

FUNdamentals, fun and active movement sessions for under-fives, now take place each Tuesday morning at Brigg Recreation Ground.
The sessions use songs, games and soft play to stimulate children’s imagination, creativity and movement skills, and reward them with certificates and stickers.
Each week a different theme is used, such as the weather, the countryside or toys, to influence the songs and games played, and to keep the children’s interest.
Staff combine sport coaching experience with their FUNdamentals training to deliver sessions that include both structured elements and free play.
Sessions cost just £4 per child (who must be accompanied by an adult).
They run every Tuesday until 19 December 2017, from 10am until 10.45am, at Brigg Recreation Ground.
It is advisable to book a place by calling 01724 297270.
Visit www.northlincs.gov.uk/cypactivityguide for more information about this and other activities for children and young people.
Cllr Carl Sherwood (Brigg & Wolds), Cabinet Member for Community Wellbeing, said: “These fun movement sessions are a great opportunity for children aged under five to burn some energy whilst learning new skills and meeting children of a similar age.

"By changing the theme each week and rewarding them with stickers and certificates, we hope to keep their interest and build a foundation for enjoying physical activity and the many benefits it brings to them and their families.
“If you would like to book a place or get more information, please do not hesitate to call 01724 297270.”
