WALKING FOOTBALL IN BRIGG

FROM NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE COUNCIL

North Lincolnshire Council is running walking football sessions at Brigg Recreational Ground every Tuesday morning from 10am to 11am.
Are you itching to get back on the pitch but are not able to play the traditional game of football? Walking football could be for you.
Walking football is an alternative option to play the game and is aimed at people aged 50 and over, who due to reduced mobility or for other reasons, are not able to play. Anyone under this age is also welcome to attend the sessions.
It costs £3.50 a session. There is no need to book, just turn up on the day.
If you would like more information about the walking football sessions, contact the Sport, Play and Community Development Team on 01724 297255.
Cllr Carl Sherwood, cabinet member for Health and Wellbeing, said:
“A whole range of physical activity sessions are offered in North Lincolnshire to encourage people to get active and healthy. We recognise that people have different abilities, which is why we provide sessions like walking football.
“Walking football is a brilliant activity for people who love football but are no longer able to play the traditional game. Even if you haven’t played football before, you will soon pick it up. "

  1. I use to play football once, Night.
I was often left back...left back in the changing room.
