This was a tie in the second round of the Johnstone Insurance Nursing Cup, organised by the TSW Printer Scunthorpe & District Football League.
On the mark were Stuart Briscoe, Paul Neal and Neil Gallafent.
Briggensians are now through to the quarter-finals of a competition for teams in divisions two and three.
We took these pictures early in the tie, which was then an even contest between Briggensians, who are second in division three, and the villages, who head the section.
Briggensians now have a two-week gap before their next game.
This coming Saturday, October 22, Barnetby United's first team will be visiting Scunthorpe team Crosby Colts in the second round of the E C Surfacing Ltd Sporting Shield (2.30pm KO).
In division three, Barnetby Reserves will host Crosby Colts Reserves at Silver Street (3pm KO).
The result of that game will be of great interest to Briggensians.
