BRIGG FOOTBALL REUNION TO BE HELD AT WETHERSPOON'S

Lesley Whitehand has contacted Brigg Blog to say: "We are arranging a reunion for the White Horse football teams for the years 1978 to 1986. It will be at the White Horse (Wetherspoon's) at 7pm on Friday, 25th November 2016."

A good many White Horse "old boys" are still living in Brigg and district. So we expect great interest to be shown in this. 
White Horse FC was started by Steve Brown and the late Dave Wing.
It soon climbed the proverbial pyramid and because quite a force in local football.
Some players for Brigg Town Cricket Club later played for the football team Both clubs used the White Horse as a social venue.

We well remember, in the early 1980s, being invited to board the club's executive coach taking the team to play in an important cup final at Louth's floodlit ground.
