We've heard a number of people in Brigg over recent weeks pointing out that some grass verges have been running wild and are in need of a cut.
However, in the past week or so North Lincolnshire Council cutting teams have been busy in various parts of the town.
Could it be that the wet weather has played a part?
Firstly, it has increased the growth rate of the grass.
Secondly, heavy rain has made some of the verges too wet to cut so some of the verges have missed their scheduled cut and had to await the next one.
If I recall, there were plans some time ago to sow wild flower seeds on certain verges....there were certain restrictions, ie not sowing near farm crops..
ReplyDeleteHave the plans been shelved.
In the meantime, many of the wild flower verges and central reservations in and about Doncaster and Rotherham look very attractive..
Grass and weeds were coming up on the pavement on Station Road, a report via the Fix My Street site and it was trimmed by North Lincolnshire Council within 7 Days
ReplyDeleteStation Rd...good place for wild flower verges?
