PRESSING FOR BRIGG RAILWAY IMPROVEMENTS

A Saturday train pulling out of Brigg station and heading off to Barnetby, Grimsby and Cleethorpes.

Brigg Town Council has drawn up a shortlist of issues to raise with senior railway company managers who are coming to town  for what's seen as a very important meeting next month.
Brigg councillors will be flagging up issues like provision for disabled passengers when the new footbridge is installed later this year, the poor state of the pedestrian approach to the station, and the fact we only get six passenger trains calling a week.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 17. This means rail bosses will be unable to come to Brigg by passenger train, as they only call on Saturdays!
