BRIGG CAFE AND SCHOOL PLANS TO BE CONSIDERED

A very busy night is in prospect next week when Brigg town councillors meet to consider planning applications for the first time in 2015.
The Planning and Environment Committee's meeting in the Angel Suite on Wednesday, January 21 (from 8pm) is open to interested members of the public.
The following applications will be considered:

  • Planning permission for change of use to A3 cafĂ© and install new shop front. (AMENDED PLAN) 9 Wrawby Street (formerly Poundstretcher shop)
  • Advertisement consent to display three illuminated signs. (AMENDED PLANS)  Wrawby Street
  • Planning permission for the construction of a new build academy to accommodate 1010 pupils on the same site as the existing school. The current school buildings will be demolished following the decant into the new building, Vale of Ancholme Technology College, Grammar School Road.
  • Planning permission for a single storey rear extension, 28 St. Clares Walk
  • Planning permission to erect a two storey extension at side and rear of existing house, 15 St. Helens Road
  • Consent to display an externally illuminated fascia sign, Units 1 and 2, Queen Street

Brigg Town Council must be consulted on all planning applications, as part of the legal process. It can, if it wishes, make comments to North Lincolnshire Council but the final decision in each case rests with the unitary authority when it comes to granting or refusing permission.

  1. I would like to know what's happening about the 6th Form College in the grounds of the Vale.
I've looked at the new plans and I can't find it?
The site where it is presently is shown to be grassed over with part of a running track superimposed on its footprint.
In addition, the 4 vehicular access points to the college from Redcombe Lane have disappeared and are replaced apparently by continuous fencing
    Anyone know the facts?
