BRIGG HOMES AND SHOPS PLAN WITHDRAWN

A Brigg town centre planning application that created considerable interest has been withdrawn.
Planning permission was sought for the erection of a mixed use development comprising eight town houses, two maisonettes, four flats and three shops on land to the rear of 5-6 Market Place.
However, North Lincolnshire Council has now been informed that the application has been withdrawn.
The application for conservation area consent of existing buildings behind 5-6 Market Place has NOT been withdrawn and remains "under consideration" with North Lincolnshire Council.
Consulted as part of the planning process, Brigg Town Council has raised no objection to the demolition.
However, there has been one objection from a Brigg resident, pointed out the close proximity to a listed building.
