DECISION TIME SOON

It could well be smoking members of the Brigg and District Servicemen's Club, on Coney Court, will find life a little more pleasant during the winter.
For an application to erect a smoking shelter, with canopy, on land next to the club has been lodged with North Lincolnshire Council, with a target date of November 4.
Brigg Town Council - always consulted on local applications - has raised no objections.
The proposed shelter will be of timber construction with a felt roof, and is within the Brigg Conservation Area.
Several other Brigg town centre 'watering holes' already have smoking shelters, and if the one at the Servicemen's goes ahead it will offer protection to smokers popping outside for a quick drag, rather than having to brave cold and wet weather.

  1. Lets hope the shelter is completed before the Brigg Tapas bar on Wrawby Street . It has been under construction longer than Brigg Blog has been running . Will attendances be decimated at BSMC if it opens and where will the Tapas smoking refuge be? A shelter over one of the park benches in Wrawby Street? And how long would it take to build it ?
