Teenagers living in the Brigg area have until the end of this month to cast their votes in the North Lincolnshire Youth Elections 2022.
We received a recent reminder about this from the unitary council and then saw a poster relating to these elections in the front window of a Brigg town centre business the other day.
Across North Lincolnshire, local youngsters have the opportunity to elect their next Young Mayor and Member of Youth Parliament.
The council explains: "The youth elections are a democratic process and will take place throughout February 2022, with voting set to close on Monday 28th February.
"The Young Mayor and Member of Youth Parliament (MYP) ensure that the views of local young people are represented locally, regionally and nationally and are dedicated to driving positive change in North Lincolnshire for future generations.
"All young people aged 11 to 18 who live, work, or go to school or college in the area can vote and choose a candidate for Young Mayor and a candidate for Member of Youth Parliament (MYP).
"Visit our website for the youth elections brochure to find out more about the candidates that are in the running to be North Lincolnshire’s next Young Mayor and Member of Youth Parliament (MYP).
