VITAL GAME COMING UP FOR BRIGG TOWN FC AFTER YESTERDAY'S TONIC VICTORY

Brigg Town Football Club's determined battle to avoid relegation received a real boost when they won 2-0 against mid-table AFC Emley at The Hawthorns yesterday (Saturday, April 7).
Second-from-bottom Brigg won this game in the Tool Station Northern Counties East First Division courtesy of late goals by Jonny Nicholls and Myles Lawman (penalty).
The crowd of 149 was the second highest of the day in this division.
Fixtures are now coming thick and fast for Brigg.
On Monday (April 9) they journey to second-placed Eccleshill United for a night game.
The comes the big one - a 'must win' visit to bottom side Retford United on Wednesday, April 11.
Next Saturday (14th) the Zebras will be away to Nostell Miners Welfare, who are four places above them.
To avoid the drop, Brigg need to make up five points on third-from-bottom Bolsover over the final few weeks of the season.
That shows the importance of the Zebras' midweek trip to Retford.
Brigg have played one game less than Bolsover and have a better goal difference, which will be important if the sides finish level on points.
