PLANNED BRIGG LINK ROAD COULD SERVE NEW HOUSING

A new link road is being proposed in Brigg to pave the way for future housing development.
Close to the M180, it is intended to connect Atherton Way to Grammar School Road.
A supporting document submitted to North Lincolnshire Council by a company in Gainsborough says: "The proposed road will link up Atherton Way and Grammar School Road to promote greater connectivity from east to west and unlock the housing land ready for phased development. Much of this northern quarter of Brigg is designated for housing. The area requires investment into the road infrastructure for access, movement and relieve the pressure on current highway networks."
Council planners are now considering the submission.
