CELEBRATE NATIONAL FISH & CHIP DAY IN BRIGG


Today (Friday) is National Fish & Chip Day and gives hungry Brigg folk an opportunity to celebrate by eating this great British dish.  Thanks go to Ken Harrison for the appetiser picture (above) which we think he took at Scalinis.
You can buy fish & chips from our outlets in Wrawby Street, Coney Court or Grammar School Road, choose fish from the menu at one of the local pub/restaurants, or cook your own at home.

    It was taken a few years ago at a summer-time event. The chips are Scalini's, but the snap was taken near Barclay's Bank. It was just starting to rain...and the marks on the paper are big rain drops.
    Now for a bit of trivia......Scalini's is named after an Italian restaurant in that classic TV American soap, Dallas.
    JR et al use to frequent Scalini's in the drama....before and after the shower sequence!!

    The more observant of you should be able to deduce exactly where the photo was taken - clues - 'in front of Barclays' - look at the block paving.

    Another trivia question - How many side does the Brigg bandstand have?
