Brigg Town Cricket Club was unable to raise a team to visit leaders Broughton 2nds in Lincolnshire County League Division Three West yesterday (Saturday, August 6).
League rules mean promotion-chasing Broughton have been awarded 20 points for this walk-over win, while Brigg have five deducted from their season's total for conceding this fixture.
Broughton 1sts suffered a five-wicket defeat at Barton Town in Division One.
Opener Neil Simpson led the way with 54 and Nick Dobbs scored 37 in Broughton's 167.
Jake Parker then dismissed both batsmen at the top of the Barton order for low scores.
However, the home side rallied and secured victory with six overs to spare, despite Shaun Clark taking two further wickets and Jack Johnstone one.
Hibaldstow, in Division Two, lost by four wickets at Normanby Park.
Joe Taylor hit 47 but Hibaldstow's 132 proved insufficient despite two wickets apiece for Joe Taylor, Tom Taylor and Jason Scatcherd.
