A former sportsman has returned to Brigg this weekend after travelling halfway around the world.
Paul Jenkinson, a wicketkeeper/batsman with Brigg Town Cricket Club decades ago, was in Wetherspoon's White Horse pub last night (Friday, July 22) with family members (pictured) after arriving from Sydney, Australia.
He spotted us in the beer garden, exchanged pleasantries, and reckoned we hadn't met up for 40 years!
Paul - a very good friend of Simon Church, now living Down-Under in Perth and another ex-Brigg Town cricketer - requested a few pictures on local licensed premises to inform 'Chozzy' of the chance meet up.
Despite now being at the veteran stage, Paul is still playing club cricket regularly in Australia.
But he narrowly missed the opportunity to appear for the Old Boys in the annual match against Sir John Nelthorpe School, played recently.
