Brigg has seen a sizeable reduction in crime, latest figures show.
Information released through www.police.uk outlines 30 offences, in various categories, recorded by Humberside Police in April 2022, compared with 59 for March.
The town centre, which often sees most crime, had only eight incidents recorded throughout April, and there were seven others on the Newlands estate.
To put the April figures into context, here are the totals for other recent months: February 57, January 57, December (2021) 37, November 65, October 49.
Setting out its objectives, the Brigg and Wolds Neighbourhood Policing Team says:
"Environmental and Road Traffic Powers will be utilised when inspecting the vehicles to ensure they are being used in accordance with the law.
"Intelligence gained will be used to identify criminals coming into the Brigg area."
